And the Fashion Oscar goes to. . .

Oscars2014

Hey my dearest,
the fashion events flip over! Some weeks ago I was totally in love with the Fashion Weeks at Berlin, London, New York, Paris and Milan and the new crazy styles (look at this hilarious creation by Jeremy Scott for Moschino) and unforgettable shows there. For gathering all Fashion news I’m visiting Modenews, which are writing about trends, lifestyle and fashion looks. For instance I was enchanted by the haute couture by Chanel in Paris and enjoyed the Fashion-Show by Acne in London.
But since sunday night the Oscars fascinated me more! For this Academy Award the stars appeared in gorgeous robes in every color and shape on the red carpet. Really in every color and shape? Unfortunately it seems like nude had become THE new black and the cuts of the dresses seemed to be sewed by one designer. Some bling here, some glitter there, a mermaid gown and the Hollywood Oscar look is perfect. There was no dress which I really went crazy for, no specialty. Some of the ladies you couldn’t even keep apart…
In my opinion the worst dress wore Anne Hathaway. Although it’s by Gucci (and actually I like Gucci) it really doesn’t hit my taste – I’m not a fan of the neck holder cut.
Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams seemed to came to an agreement with their dresses. Like “let’s wear contrast colors like our roles in American Hustle”. But although the gowns lookalike I enjoyed the peplum elements from Lawrence and the collar at Adam’s décolleté at least.
My favorite is the robe Penélope Cruz was wearing and the dress by Model Christine Teigen. Furthermore I was really surprised by the dress Bette Midler had decided for – she looked perfect in the wonderful red lace!

So? And the Fashion Oscar goes to?

Hey meine Lieben,

  1. I personally prefer Kate Hudson in Versace. I like the strength of silhouette. Others are too girly, as for me.

  6. I toed the show, and will watch tonight, so I am glad my expectations will be inline! This is such well written commentary, and is love the gowns.
