Festival Lipgloss – Our lips will shine like stars

Da ich als neugeborener (dank Glossybox!) Beauty-Junkie immer auf der Suche nach dem Neuesten bin, habe ich dieses Mal die Lippen anvisiert. Besonders in der kalten Winterzeit verlieren Lippen ihre Feuchtigkeit durch den Wechsel von kalten Außen- und warmen Innentemperaturen (Heizungsluft!) und brauchen deshalb viel Pflege und Schutz. Also, habe ich mich auf die Suche nach dem ultimativen Produkt gemacht und meinen Favorit im Luxus-Segment von Dior gefunden (gut, dass Weihnachten ist – da hat man immer eine Ausrede zu viel Geld auszugeben!).
Der Dior Addict Lip Maximizer versorgt die Lippen mit Feuchtigkeit, beinhaltet Menthol, das die Durchblutung der Lippen anregt und enthält Collagen, was Risse und Lippen selbst auffüllen soll. So viel zur Theorie.

Hier die Praxis: Ja, die Lippen beginnen leicht zu kribbeln, was am Menthol liegt und durch die feste Textur sehen die Lippen leicht plastisch und voll aus, zusätzlich zieht der Glanz natürlich die volle Aufmerksamkeit auf den Mund. Laut Dior Beipackzettel (offensichtlich habe ich Medizin gekauft) soll eine 15-tägige kontinuierliche Anwendung über Nacht oder am Tag die Lippen auffüllen, so das die Lippen am Ende aussehen als hätte sich Botox in ihnen verirrt.

Fazit: Vor dem Spiegel am Morgen bilde ich mir einen Schmollmund (inklusive größerer Oberlippe!) ein, aber das kann auch an der Hoffnung an der Wirkung liegen, die bei dem hohen Preissegment mitschwinkt.

As a fresh new beauty junkie (it’s the fault of Glossybox!) I always look for the newest stuff. Therefore this time I was focused on lips. Especially in these cold winter months lips loose their flexibility and their moisture because of the change of coldness outside and hot temperatures inside (bad heating air!). That’s why they need care and protection. So I sniffled for the next big thing and found it in the luxury segment by Dior (thanks god it’s Christmas so that the excuse to buy something expensive ain’t far away!).
The Dior Addict Lip Maximizer moisturizes the lips, contains menthol (activates the blood circulation in the lips) and collagen (shall fill them up). So far the theory.

Here the practice: Yes, my lips start prickling trough the menthol when I took it on. Because of the thick texture the lips look a little bit plastic and yeah, really filled up – not to mention the terrific gloss that attracts the attention to the mouth. According to the Dior package insert (obviously I bought medicine!) they advise to use it 15 days continuously in the night or during the day so that in the end the mouth looks like after a Botox OP.

Result: In front of the mirror I see a full mouth (including a bigger upper lip!), but this can also be the hope (that this gloss works) that comes along in that high price level.
