My dearest I’m back from my wonderful holidays and I miss the little Greek island already where I have been. Little fisher villages, gorgeous ports and the Mediterranean Sea. Days at the beach with sun (tanned skin!), salty air and sand under my feet. Women with long hair, golden jewelry and so much style. The culture shock came when I stood at the platform going back home: Most of the German women have short hair and practical clothes. It’s a shame that women round here may think that being well dressed means you’re arrogant or snobbish. So I am going to live on my precious memories and share them with you – such as here.
Meine Lieben, ich bin aus meinem wunderbaren Urlaub zurück und vermisse bereits die griechische Insel auf der ich war. Kleine Fischerdörfer, prachtvolle Häfen und das Mittelmeer. Tage am Strand mit Sonne (gebräunte Haut!), salziger Luft und Sand unter meinen Füßen. Frauen mit langem Haar, goldenem Schmuck und sehr viel Stil. Der Kulturschock ereilte mich als ich am Bahnsteig Richtung nach Hause stand: Die meisten deutsche Frauen tragen ihre Haare kurz und praktische Kleidung. Es ist eine Schande, dass Frauen hierzulande denken mögen, dass man mit hübschen Kleidern gleich arrogant oder versnobt sei. So werde ich also erstmal weiterhin von meinen zarten Erinnerungen zehren und sie mit euch teilen – so wie hier.

Beautiful pictures! I loved your dress and sandals, and also the bangles! Greece is really a dream, the memories are always lovely to be cherished… now that you talked about it, I can say that I agree – some people used to look at me and think I was a “shallow head”, just because I liked some different clothes.
