Before I prepared this post for you I watched the Alexander McQueen fashion show in Paris as a livestream on VOGUE.com. I am still flashed and impressed but can’t order the pieces yet. It was a mix of folklore, 20th century, french military and delicate quillings. The collection is beautiful but I missed the flash, the bomb Lee McQueen detonated after or sometimes while the show. If we take his Atlantis collection für spring/summer 2010 he had a video in the background and a message. The Bone Collector was really short but intensive and Angels & Demons in baroque style. I really have to say that I miss him. With Alexander McQueen the world lost a big talent, a genius and innovator.
Bevor ich diesen Post vorbereitete, hatte ich mir die Alexander McQueen Fashionshow aus Paris im Livestream auf VOGUE.com angeschaut. Ich bin immer noch hin und weg und beeindruckt, allerdings vermag ich die Stücke noch nicht richtig zuzuordnen. Es war eine Mischung aus Folklore, 20. Jahrhundert, französischem Militär und zarten Rüschen. Die Kollektiv ist wunderschön, aber irgendwie hab ich den Flash, die Bombe vermisst, die Lee McQueen jeweils nach oder noch während seiner Shows gezündet hat. Bei seiner “Atlantis”-Kollektion für Frühjahr/Sommer 2010 lief beispielsweise ein Video im Hintergrund und unterstützte die Message. “The Bone Collector” war wirklich kurz, jedoch intensiv und “Angels & Demons” war ganz im Barock-Stil gehalten. Ich muss sagen, dass ich ihn vermisse. Mit Alexander McQueen hat die Welt ein großes Talent, Genie und Innovator verloren.
