FRENCH CHIC
Aiaiai. The fashion week is still running and today I saw a video of the Louis Vuitton show. I am so sorry but I am truly disappointed. The clothes look like a mix of 80s punks and manga girls with redundant glitter. I am still in love with the cute bags but I think there should have been more. Nicolas Ghesquières collection for spring/summer 2016 reminded me of the Saint Laurent shows by Hedi Slimane. By the way the collection is also so odd – doesn’t he get bored of those 90s dirty crack looks? VOGUE.de wrote: “Hommage to Kate Moss and the 00s years.” Again? I love Saint Laurents bags so much and the Wyatt boots but not those clothes…
What you do have to consider: I have been to Brussels and visited a wonderful exhibition of Yves Saint Laurent. He loved women and their proportions. Colors and cuts. And now women shall wear net-tops and leather pants. No problem everything has its advantages but this seems to not really versatile.
I don’t want to be too severe with the both of them, because I am a huge fan after all but maybe this is the reason for it?

Nicolas Ghesquières Kollektion für Frühjahr/Sommer 2016 erinnert mich an die Saint Laurent Show von Hedi Slimane. Was ihr wissen solltet: In Brüssel hatte ich mir eine tolle Ausstellung von Yves Saint Laurent angeschaut. Er liebte Frauen und ihre Proportionen. Farben und Schnitte. Und jetzt sollen Frauen Netz-Tops und Lederhosen tragen. Das ist kein Problem, alles hat seine Vorzüge, aber so erscheint die Kollektion wenig vielfältig.
Ich möchte ja gar nicht zu streng mit den beiden sein, da ich ein großer Fan bin, aber vielleicht ist genau das der Grund dafür?
