7 DAYS OF STYLE | SUMMER STORIES
Here I am. In the middle of a wide green meadow. I can see the flowing river. The sun above me. The heat approaches heavy my smooth skin, here and there bees and bumblebees are buzzing around. Finally summer – even if it doesn’t last for long. My mind is dizzy and I remember my holidays:
It smells like sand, summer breeze and salty water.
I’m born in June and I love hot temperatures as well as the ocean. When I was a kid I used to spent my holidays on islands such as Mallorca or Corfu – a Greek island. When the night turns into day due to the high degrees, I know I’m home and it’s summer.
I close my eyes.
I can feel the sand under my feet.
So hot and soft.
Pink nail-toes within the grain of sand.
The sound of the sea – I will capture it in a shell.
This year I’m traveling to the Mediterranean Sea again: Crete. And I can’t wait for it.
Hier bin ich. Inmitten einer weiten, grünen Wiese. I kann den strömenden Fluss sehen. Die Sonne über mir. Die Hitze neigt sich schwer meiner zarten Haut, hier und da schwirren Bienen und Hummeln. Endlich Sommer – wenn auch nicht für lang. Meine Gedanken schwimmen und ich erinnere mich an meine Ferien:
Es duftet nach Sand, Sommerwind und salzigem Wasser.
Im Juni wurde ich geboren und ich liebe heiße Temperaturen sowie den Ozean. Als ich ein Kind war, habe ich den Urlaub oft auf Inseln wie Mallorca oder Corfu – einer griechischen Insel – verbracht. Wenn die Nacht wegen der heißen Grade zum Tage wird, weiß ich, ich bin zu Hause und es ist Sommer.
Ich schließe meine Augen.
Ich kann den Sand unter meinen Füßen spüren.
So heiß und weich.
Pinke Zehennägel zwischen den Sandkörnern.
Das Rauschen des Meeres – ich werde es in einer Muschel einfangen.
Dieses Jahr reise ich erneut zum Mittelmeer: Kreta. Ich kann es kaum erwarten.
