SPRING ALERT: KNITTED CULOTTES
Yes, I definitely go for this hype: Knitted culottes are the ultimate it-piece for the upcoming season. But (!!) there are some problems. Most of these pants are made of really telltale material. Meaning – if you don’t have trained legs you might look like a sack of potatoes… Plus they tend to look a bit like home wear. But (!!) for every problem there is a solution. That’s why here are my
5 tips for how to wear knitted culottes:
- Wear oversize culottes – as designed by Stella McCartney. They can cover some thigh curves and will make you look a size smaller.
- Heels to conquer the world! It’s not a secret that heels stretch legs, that way you can hide some curves even better.
- Add oversize sweaters. Knitted culottes add some kilos anyway (like knitwear is known to do) but you can change this a bit if you combine oversized sweaters or now that it’s getting warmer try some long shirts.
- Sneakers are a plus! They always add a sporty and competent touch!
- Blazer (coats) take culottes out of home. If you don’t want to look like a couch potato a blazer (coat) will put some business style and make it look less like home wear.

Ja, diesem Hype schließe ich mich definitiv an: Strick-Culottes sind das ultimative it-Piece für die kommende Saison. Allerdings (!!) gibt es da ein paar Probleme. Die meisten dieser Hosen bestehen aus sehr verräterischem Material. Heißt – wenn man keine durchtrainierten Beine hat, könnte man eventuell wie ein Sack Kartoffeln wirken… Außerdem tendieren sie dazu etwas nach Haus-Klamotten auszuschauen. Aber (!!) für jedes Problem gibt es eine Lösung. Darum hier meine
5 Tipps Strick-Culottes zu tragen:
- Tragt Oversize-Culottes – so wie bei Stella McCartney. Diese können einige Rundungen kaschieren und euch eine Größe kleiner erscheinen lassen.
- Absätze und die Welt gehört euch! Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass Heels die Beine strecken, so können Kurven nochmals versteckt werden.
- Kombiniert Oversize-Pullover. Strick-Culottes tragen immer etwas auf (so wie es bei Strick im Allgemeinen üblich ist). Doch das ändert sich, indem Oversize-Pullover oder jetzt, da es wärmer wird, auch lange Hemden dazu getragen werden können.
- Sneakers sind ein Plus! Sie verleihen immer einen sportlichen und kompetenten Hauch.
- Blazer (Mäntel) nehmen Culottes mit “nach draußen”. Wenn ihr nicht wie eine Couch-Potato aussehen möchtet, verlieht ein Blazer (Mantel) die nötige Portion Business und wird sie weniger nach Lounge-wear aussehen lassen.
