Today on public holiday I visited a panorama exhibition – they reproduced pictures from the Battle of Nations in Leipzig and displayed it on long panels. The weather is still sunny and everybody’s still in a good mood. But because I am always cold (no matter what I’m wearing, wool, acrylic or cotton, I’m freezing all the time) I decided to take my hat on. Did you know that people emit 80 percent of their body heat by the head? So a hat (or a beanie) is the best possibility to keep yourself warm! But my new achievement is this long and fluffy loop scarf. It’s so big that I can even wear it as a stole. As long as your head and neck are wrapped in heavy knitwear you really can enjoy the golden autumn.

Am heutigen Feiertag besuchte ich eine Panorama-Ausstellung – dafür hat man Fotos der Völkerschlacht von Leipzig abgedruckt und sie an riesigen Stoffbahnen aufgehängt. Das Wetter war immer noch wunderbar und jeder hatte gute Laune. Da mir aber ständig kalt ist (es ist wahrlich egal, was ich trage, Wolle, Acryl oder Baumwolle, ich friere die ganze Zeit) beschloss ich heute einen Hut zu tragen. Wusstet ihr, dass man 80 Prozent der Körperwärme über den Kopf abgibt? Ein Hut (oder eine Mütze) ist da die beste Möglichkeit sich warm zu halten. Meine eigentliche Errungenschaft ist allerdings dieser dicke, flauschige Loop-Schal. Er ist so groß, dass ich ihn sogar als Stola tragen kann. Und solange Kopf und Hals mit dicken Strick eingehüllt sind, kann man den goldenen Herbst richtig genießen.
