Finally Primark found its way into the capital of Germany! The shop opened on the 11th of July 2012 in the Schloß-Straßen-Center Berlin Steglitz with an area of 5000 square meters. Time to have a look in person and to look into the eye of the chaos what lots of people like to describe in conjunction with Primark.

Endlich hat Primark auch in der Hauptstadt Deutschlands Einzug gehalten! In Berlin Steglitz wurde der Store am 11. Juli 2012 im Schloß-Straßen-Center mit einer Größe von 5000 Quadratmetern eröffnet. Zeit persönlich vorbei zu schauen und dem Chaos, das viele in Verbindung mit Primark gern beschreiben, ins Auge zu sehen. 

 

Primark = absolute stimulus satiation. Dresses, blouses, skirts, pants en masse and no end in sight. Nevertheless my yield kept within a limit because lots of pieces hadn’t been available in my size anymore… Besides a lot of style clashed with the outfits of the competitors like H&M, Orsay or New Yorker. Accordingly I pitched on the creme de la creme out of that deluge of clothes.

 

Primark = absolute Reizüberflutung. Kleider, Blusen, Röcke, Hosen en masse und kein Ende in Sicht. Trotzdem hielt sich meine Ausbeute erstmal in Grenzen, da sehr viele Kleidungsstücke einfach nicht mehr in meiner Größe vorhanden waren… Außerdem überschnitten sich viele Stile mit aktuellen Looks der Wettbewerber wie H&M, Orsay oder New Yorker. Also habe ich mir die Crème de la Crème aus der Warenflut herausgepickt. 

 

 

 

 

That blouse is a very special exemplar: delicate, transparent cloth swirls around the body and a fancy collar draws the attention to the neck.
Points are timeless – that’s why I chose that eye candy. The drapery of the skirt makes the dress look subtle and girly. It is loosely and many-sided combinable: with ballerinas the girlish figure survives. Boots and heavy knitwear breaks it and with Mary Janes the dress is staged ladylike.

Die Bluse ist ein ganz besonderes Exemplar: feiner, durchsichtiger Stoff umspielt den Körper und ein ausgefallener Kragen lenkt die Aufmerksamkeit auf den Hals.

Da Punkte zeitlos sind, habe ich mir diesen Augenschmaus ausgesucht. Die Drapierung des Rockes lässt das Kleid zart und mädchenhaft wirken. Es sitzt locker und ist vielseitig kombinierbar: mit Ballerinas bleibt das Mädchenhafte erhalten. Boots und dicke Strickjacken brechen es und mit Mary Janes wird das Kleid damenhaft in Szene gesetzt.

 

 

 

The dress follows the print-mania which started with the Miu Miu Spring/Summer Collection in 2010 and stayed because of Victoria Beckham’s pieces in this year’s Spring. It is my favorite because in that case dogs romp about the dress instead of cheeky cats.

 

Das Kleid lehnt an die aktuelle Print-Manie an, die mit der Miu Miu Frühling/Sommer Kollektion 2010 begann und sich mit den diesjährigen Frühlingsstücken von Victoria Beckham hielt. Es ist mein absoluter Favorit, weil sich in diesem Falle kleine Hunde über das Kleid tummeln, statt freche Katzen.

 

 

 

Last but not least: the new it-pieces this summer are Hightop-Sneakers. Wonderfully comfortable and cool they do burst every serious outfit. Skinny jeans in white or black and oversize-pullover suit perfectly. But also chemise dresses and straight cut dresses are a good combination. Brave fashionistas will wear lace, punk fans leather. 

 

Das beste zum Schluss: die neuen it-Pieces in diesem Sommer sind Hightop-Sneakers. Wundervoll bequem und cool sprengen sie jedes ernste Outfit. Skinny Jeans in weiß oder schwarz und Oversize-Pullover eignen sich perfekt dazu. Aber auch Hemdkleider sowie gerade geschnittene Kleider lassen sich gut kombinieren. Wer mutig ist, trägt Spitze, wer es punkig mag Lederelemente.
