Today I’d like to introduce to you the new creation from designer Stephanie Burkhalter. I know her for years now and I’m really proud to count her to my friends. And here I really have to admit that I’m totally crazy for her awesome heels. Her new collection, so called “Californication”, is inspired by Hollywood’s glamour, LA’s nightlife, and So Cal’s sunshine and coast lines. She has been hard at work creating these new, trend-setting designs, but that’s not where the story begins. Switzerland born and Italian fed, Stephanie recently left Europe to pursue new love and inspiration, traveling across America and landing right at the coast of Malibu, California. She set up her studio and began exploring her new home, discovering the colorful heart of California’s coast which gave birth to a new vision in her heart – flowers. Passionately, and with all of the vibrant fabric she could get her hands on, Stephanie began to create.

Because of all the work she had to do, an assistant needed to be hired. That’s where Choco came into the story, the new and fabulous mascot of Burkhalter Couture. A Siamese/Himalayan beauty, Choco was found at a local animal shelter, afraid and mistreated by her previous owner. When Stephanie found her, they immediately bonded and the adoption happened within the hour. Now, Choco is well at home in the Burkhalter studio, not only assisting with the new collection, but also inspiring a new line of pet couture, soon to be released as “Choco Couture”.

Wow, peeps! A looooong week lies behind me and I’m so glad to be home, again. Like I told you in my recent post I had been to Cologne and worked on the IDS (the International Dental Show). You can imagine that my feet (still!) hurt a lot and I even caught up a cold :-/ What did I do there? I took pictures of the trade fair itself and booths of the companies, took part in press conferences and accompanied my boss to important client pitches.
So no reason to be sad, because I’m back again with my lovely camel coat – I showed up here once – paired with a wide shirt. Because I love comfortable clothes I even add my boyfriend jeans (still crazy for them and recently bought a new one *oh, dear*).

How was your week?

Ihr Lieben! Eine laaaaange Woche liegt hinter mir und ich bin so froh wieder zu Hause zu sein. Wie ich in meinem letzten Post erklärte, war ich in Köln, um auf der IDS (der Internationalen Dental Schau) zu arbeiten. Ihr könnt euch vorstellen, dass meine Füße (noch immer!!) schmerzen und ich mir sogar eine Erkältung eingefangen habe :-/ Was habe ich da gemacht? Ich habe Fotos der Messe selbst und den Ständen der Unternehmen aufgenommen, an Pressekonferenzen teilgenommen und meinen chef zu wichtigen Kundengesprächen begleitet.
Also kein Grund traurig zu sein, denn ich bin wieder da mit meinem geliebten Camel-Mantel – den ich hier bereits ein Mal zeigte – zusammen mit einem weiten Hemd. Da ich bequeme Kleidung bevorzuge, habe ich sogar meine Boyfriend Jeans dazu kombiniert (ich bin immer noch verrückt nach ihnen und hab sogar kürzlich eine Neue erstanden *oh, je*).

Well, actually I should post this look in the category “spring” because this weekend was more than awesome – great temperatures, sun everywhere. In the morning I enjoyed a wonderful brunch at one of my favorite cafés and afterwards the long walk through the near located park. Lots of things happened again and I have lots of news for you. First one is: I booked my future vacations! Two-weeks in the sun. When and where you’re gonna find out later on Second news is: Soon I will present you an interview with the gorgeous Stephanie Burkhalter from Italy! She’s designer and model and creates awesome shoes!

Nun ja, eigentlich müsste ich diesen Look in der Kategorie “Frühling” posten, denn dieses Wochenende war mehr als großartig – wunderbare Temperaturen, Sonne satt. Morgens genoss ich den Brunch in einem meiner Lieblingscafés und danach einen langen Spaziergang durch den nahe gelegenen Park. Es ist mal wieder viel passiert und ich habe einige Neuigkeiten für euch. Erstens: Ich habe meinen Urlaub gebucht! Zwei Wochen Sonne. Wo und wann werde ihr später noch erfahren Zweitens: Bald werde ich euch ein Interview mit der wunderbaren Stephanie Burkhalter aus Italien! Sie ist Designerin und Model und kreiert atemberaubende Schuhe!

Of course it’s February and Christmas time is over but now and then one can find mistletoes in the neighborhood – like me when I looked for a shooting place for my Saturday’s evening look. This weekend was too short and I had been to a little event in the center, so that Sunday felt more like hours instead of a whole day. For the party I took out my grey high waist faux leather pants. I love the lose fit so much and that you can combine it with heels as well as sneakers.
How was your weekend, peeps?

Natürlich ist Februar und Weihnachten schon längst vorbei, aber ab und zu findet man Mistelzweige in der Umgebung – so wie ich als ich einen Platz zum Fotografieren meines Samstag-Abendlooks suchte. Dieses Wochenende war viel zu kurz und ich war in der Stadt zu einem Event eingeladen, so dass der Sonntag sich mehr nach Stunden als nach einem ganzen Tag anfühlte. Für die Party habe ich meine graue High-Waist-Fake-Lederhose angezogen. Ich liebe den lockeren Schnitt so sehr und dass man sie sowohl mit Heels als auch Sneakern kombinieren kann.

Spring is almost about to come and magazines like Glamour or even the H&M journal announce white as THE color to wear. But I didn’t think of any future fashion trends when I found this awesome piece of coat: It’s made of wool and I couldn’t abdicate from acquiring it (look at this brocade!). It was love at first sight and it’s gonna be the perfect companion for my spring looks.

Der Frühling ist schon fast da und Magazine wie Glamour oder sogar das H&M Journal kündigen weiß bereits als DIE Farbe für die kommende Saison an. Allerdings habe ich nicht an künftige Modetrends gedacht als ich dieses wundervolle Stück Mantel fand: Er ist aus Wolle und ich konnte einfach nicht widerstehen ihn zu erstehen (schaut euch den Brokat an!). Es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick und er wird der perfekte Begleiter für meine Frühjahrslooks.
