Frühling! Die Pflanzen treiben Knospen, der Wind ist milder, die Sonne strahlt. Endlich Zeit meine Dachterrasse in der neuen Wohnung anzugehen. Wie ihr bereits wisst, bin ich vor einigen Monaten umgezogen und möchte mich jetzt der Balkongestaltung widmen. Bisher hatten Wind und Wetter rudimentäre Balkonmöbelstücke zerstört, so dass ich nun bei Null beginne. Und da ich keine Lust auf OBI oder IKEA habe, bin ich mal wieder im Internet auf der Suche neuer Baumarkt-Shops gewesen. Dabei bin ich auf den Onlineshop von Edinger mit schönen Gartenmöbeln gestoßen, bei dem ich mich jetzt austoben werde. Aber bevor ich jetzt beginne etwas zu kaufen, werden Inspirationen gesammelt und Pläne geschmiedet. Ich finde zum Beispiel die Idee einer Hängematter fantastisch. Darauf kann man im Sommer bei Gelegenheit gleich schlafen. Meine frechen Kaninchen muss ich außerdem noch unterbringen…

Spring! Plants are budding, the wind is gently, the sun is shining. Finally it’s the time for tackling my roof-deck of my new apartment. As you know already I’ve moved a couple of months ago and now I’d like to dedicate to designing my balcony. Until now wind and weather had only destroyed my rudimental terrace pieces of furniture so that I actually start at point zero. And because I’m through with OBI and IKEA I started to look again through the internet and found an online shop with great garden furniture. Here I can ran riot, now. But before I’m gonna buy stuff I’m making plans and gather inspirations. For instance I love the idea of the hammock! And in summer you can take nap on it. And not to forget my cheeky lady buns, they also need their space…

Pictures of my Life

Currently the winter is on its best behavior: Ice cold, but sunny. Walks outside are great now, because the cold air fresh up the lunges and the sunbeams enhances the skin with vitamin D. Nevertheless I also love being at my new home, sitting on the couch enjoying hot chocolate. Comfortably I spare watching TV but look at my walls instead. They’re full of pictures: Images of me as a beauty model, of trips, of watercolors and of snapshots. If I looking at them I am back in the time. Suddenly I’m in the rehearsal room with my ex-classmate Anna again, watching how she stretches her feet delicately. Or I remind myself how warm the day was when I had the shooting. I see the photographer behind his camera and need to smile. It would be the best if I print this picture on a poster. Nowadays everything’s possible via internet. And because this area is something new, I found the online picture service by Cewe. Here I can print my favorite pictures as posters as well as on iPhone cases and other cool things. I try it and gonna tell you whether it worked out.

Der Winter zeigt sich momentan von seiner besten Seite: Eiseskälte, aber dennoch Sonne. Spaziergänge sind genau jetzt richtig, da die kalte Luft die Lunge erfrischt und die Sonnenstrahlen die Haut mit Vitamin D anreichern. Dennoch liebe ich es auch in meiner neuen Wohnung auf dem Sofa zu kuscheln und auch mal heiße Schokolade zu genießen. Gut und gerne verzichte ich dann auf den Fernseher und schaue mir stattdessen meine eigenen vier Wände an. Und die sind voller Bilder: Fotos von mir als Beauty-Model, von Reisen, von Aquarellen und von Schnappschüssen. Wenn ich sie mir so betrachte, reise ich wieder zurück. Plötzlich stehe ich im Proberaum meiner ehemaligen Klassenkameradin Anna und sehe ihr beim Balletttanzen zu und wie grazil sie ihre Füße streckt. Oder erinnere mich daran, wie warm es bei meinem damaligen Shooting war. Sehe den Fotografen hinter seiner Kamera und muss lächeln. Am besten ich vergrößere mir das Bild. Über das Internet ist ja heute alles möglich. Da dieser Bereich Neuland für mich ist, habe ich mir den Online Fotoservice von Cewe rausgesucht. Da kann ich mein Lieblingsbild nicht nur als Poster, sondern auch auf iPhone-Hüllen oder andere tolle Sachen drucken lassen. Ich probiere es aus und sage euch, ob es geklappt hat.

Curtain Calls

When I wake up in my magical penthouse in the early morning, I notice: My goodness – babe, you need curtains. Since November I’m living in my personal palace but still have nothing for plunging my room into darkness. Currently I used a blanket as curtain like a student. It looks like a baldachin means very princess-like but this is nothing in a long run, don’t you think?

I thought: A fitting roller bling is much more beautiful! Thus I took the time and foraged a bit. Because I have windows by Velux I preferred looking at the online-shop of the producer. And guess what. One curtain is more chic than the other. My fav are clean and minimalistic ones, so that I keep my bedroom quiet (no loudly color pops in my white room) – and dark.

Wenn ich in meiner verzauberten Dachwohnung früh aufwache, stelle ich fest: Mein Gott. Du brauchst Vorhänge. Seit November wohne ich jetzt schon in meinem persönlichen Parlais, habe aber bisher noch keine Möglichkeit gefunden mein Zimmer in Dunkelheit zu tauchen. Momentan habe ich wie ein Student eine dünne Decke rein geklemmt. Das sieht zwar aus wie ein Baldachin, sprich sehr prinzessinnenhaft, ist aber eben nichts auf lange Sicht. Ich fand: Ein passendes Rollo wäre viel hübscher! Also, hab ich mir die Zeit genommen und mal etwas gestöbert. Da in meinen Dachschrägen Fenster von Velux eingebaut wurden, hab ich es vorgezogen gleich mal im Onlineshop beim Hersteller zu schauen. Und siehe da! Eine Jalousie schicker als die andere. Am liebsten clean und minimalistisch, damit das Schlafzimmer ruhig bleibt (keine lauten Farbkontraste in meinem weißen Zimmer) – und dunkel.

Aw, it’s getting colder, my peeps! I can feel it in every corner of my body… But I feel so comfortably at home. When I moved into the new apartment I considered what I could put into the corner between the heater and the window. And when I saw this gorgeous seat bench it suddenly dawned on me. I love it because I can sit and read there, stare out of the window and watch the birds and mainly relax. And like I’ve told you I’m still on the prowl for decorations or other things for the apartment. This time I discovered the hardware store Hellweg. Yeah, you heard right a home improvement store. And by the way you can find cool seat benches there, too

Ahh, es wird kälter, meine Lieben! Ich kann es in jeder Ecke meines Körpers spüren… Aber ich fühle mich Zuhause so wohl. Als ich in die neue Wohnung umgezogen bin, habe ich darüber nachgedacht, was ich zwischen die Heizung und meine Fenster stellen könnte. Und als ich dann diese tolle Sitzbank sah, ging mir plötzlich ein Licht auf. Ich liebe sie, weil ich auf ihr sitzen und lesen, aus dem Fenster starren und die Vögel beobachten und vor allem entspannen kann. Und wie ich euch bereits erzählt habe, bin ich noch immer auf der Jagd nach Dekorationen und anderen Dingen für die Wohnung. Dieses Mal habe ich dafür übrigens den Baumarkt Hellweg entdeckt. Ja, richtig gehört einen Baumarkt. Und die haben diese coole Sitzbanken in ihrem Repertoire

Moving Pt. II

After I’ve finally moved some weeks ago, the chaos may stopped, but the rooms are still not finished yet. Especially the working room is a thorn in my side, because desk and wardrobe are not sufficient to complete a whole room. Additionally I’m totally in fall/winter mood, so that I’m busy buying lanterns and other odds and ends. Because I’m completely satisfied with Ikea I started looking for further furniture shops. In this case I’m talking about the German retailer Höffner. Here I recently snatched a wonderful old-fashioned TV sideboard for the living room. And lo and behold! In this moment the furnishing house even shares my current passion for seasonal things.

Nachdem ich vor etwa zwei Wochen endlich umgezogen bin, herrscht zwar nun kein Chaos mehr, allerdings sind noch nicht alle Zimmer fertig. Besonders das Arbeitszimmer ist mir noch ein Dorn im Auge, denn Tisch und Kleiderschrank reichen nicht, um ein ganzes Zimmer zu komplettieren. Hinzu kommt meine derzeitige Herbst/Winter-Stimmung, die mich vor allem Laternen und andere Kleinigkeiten kaufen lässt. Da ich aber genug von Ikea habe, bin ich anderen Möbelhäusern auf die Spur gekommen. In diesem Fall Höffner. Denn hier habe ich vor kurzem eine wunderbar altmodische TV-Bank für das Wohnzimmer ergattern können. Und siehe da! Derzeit unterstützt das Einrichtungshaus auch noch meine Leidenschaft für saisonale Gegenstände.
